Fire Risk Assessment

A fire risk assessment is designed to evaluate your premises, identify any potential risks and provide you with a report so that you can minimise these risks to maintain a safe environment.

This vital assessment helps ensure life and property safety and protection. It is essential that FRAs are conducted regularly, by competent and trained personnel such as RCI staff.

RCI can undertake all types of fire risk assessments. This includes:

General Fire Risk Assessments - for all types of buildings covering a comprehensive evaluation of the potential fire risks associated with the building. It considers various factors, such as the type of building, occupancy, and use.

Specific Fire Risk Assessments - tailored to a specific hazard, such as using flammable materials or processes that pose a potential fire risk in the likes of a commercial kitchen, laboratory or places carrying out hot works. The assessment aims to identify the risks associated with the specific hazard and recommends measures to mitigate the risks.

Fire Risk Assessment for Communal Areas - This assessment is conducted for communal areas in multi-occupancy buildings, such as flats or apartments. It evaluates the potential fire risks associated with communal areas, such as means of escape and shared spaces, and recommends measures to improve fire safety.

PAS 9980 Fire Risk Assessment for Residential Flats – a specific assessment designed for residential buildings including multi-occupancy flats and student accommodation. It evaluates the fire risks associated with the external wall system and cladding construction and recommends mitigating measures as required.
